I began my photography journey at a very young age with a Christmas gift of a Kodak Instamatic from my grandparents. I shot some film over the years, then migrating to digital cameras about the time my daughter was born. I took mostly family shots and travel memories. When my daughter graduated from high school, she asked for a DSLR. It was then that I also bought my first interchangeable lens camera.
Since then, I've continued my journey, trying to improve a little bit each time out. Fairly recently, I discovered the advantages of better post processing tools. Adobe Lightroom Classic has been a game changer for me.
I'm a Canon shooter, starting out with a SL3 (which I still have and shoot with on occasion). I have since acquired multiple camera bodies and lenses. My favorite wildlife combination is my 7D Mark ii and Sigma 100-400mm Contemporary (I recently acquired the Sigma 1.4 Teleconverter to go with it). For landscapes, I like to shoot with my Canon 6D full frame. While I have a number of lenses for landscapes, my Sigma 24-105mm Art has become a favorite. Nearly all my gear has been purchased gently used at a fraction of the cost if bought new.
