I began my photography journey at a very young age with a Christmas gift of a Kodak Instamatic from my grandparents. I shot some film over the years, then migrating to digital cameras about the time my daughter was born. I took mostly family shots and vacation memories. During the Covid pandemic I bought my first interchangeable lens digital camera (a Canon SL3 DSLR which I still have and go out with on occasion).
Since then, I've continued my journey. Along the way I discovered the advantages of better post processing tools. Adobe Lightroom Classic has been a game changer for me. While I shoot many genres I primarily shoot wildlife and landscapes.
I'm a Canon shooter. Over the years I have acquired multiple camera bodies and lenses. My favorite wildlife combination is my 7D Mark ii and Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary. For landscapes, I like to shoot with my older Canon full frames (e.g. 6D or 5D Mark ii). I also have a couple 'outing cameras' (60D and 7D) which I use to shoot primarily memories from day trips. While I have a number of lenses for landscapes, my Canon 24-105mm F4L IS USM has become a favorite. Nearly all my gear has been purchased gently used at a tiny fraction of the cost if bought new.
I am not available for hire. I do not sell my images.
